Is a 2-component, durable, slightly elastic PU varnish for finishing polyester, wood, glass, plastic, metal and non-ferrous metals. Extremely resistant to sun, water, chemicals and diluted acids and alkalis. Retains its high gloss and is UV-resistant. The lacquer is available in five basic colours.

Applications
As a finishing coat for various applications in boatbuilding, construction and model making. Can be applied with a brush or spray gun.
For spray application, however, Urkisol 8229 should be diluted by 15-20%.
For brush application we recommend to dilute 5-10%.

Usage
- Always ensure a dry and grease-free surface.
- Never use in the full sun. Mix both components in a 2/1 volume ratio.
- Mix the separate components well before use.
- Let this mixture rest for approx. 15 min. and then process within 3 hours.
- Waiting time between layers min. 3 hours.
- Dust dry after 1 hour
- Tack free after 4 hours.
- As extra adhesive layer for porous substrates you can use primer G4, for aluminium or stainless steel substrates you can use Epoxy Lightprimer.
- Spray pressure: 2,5-4 bar at an opening of 1,5-1,8 mm.
Attention: too much humidity can lead to the formation of air bubbles on the surface.
Safety
- Always provide appropriate protective clothing and gloves.
- Avoid prolonged skin contact.
- Cleaning agent for tools: cleaner M (environmentally friendly substitute for acetone).
