Surface mat is a very fine reinforcement material that is characterised by its thin fleece structure. Surface mat is used as finishing layer on an already existing laminate made of glass mat with a rough structure. After processing with a liquid resin based on polyester, epoxy or vinyl ester, you get a nice smooth and even surface.
